The Story of Fuku Brew
John, a legendary beer and wine shop retailer in Italy, teamed up with Enda, a highly respected Master Brewer with over 15 years of experience in Asia, and Sam, who spent two decades working with top food and beverage talent in Australasia. Together, they created Fuku (pronounced fookoo). Fuku (福) means good fortune or good luck in Japanese.
The Challenge
They struggled to find an easy-drinking beer that paired well with Italian food. The solution lay in Japanese brewing techniques.
Brewing and Creating Fuku Brew
Using Italian rice (widely considered some of the best in the world), Japanese brewing produces a clean, light, and crisp beer, ideal for both Italian and Asian dishes, and gentle on digestion. Combining John's retail expertise, Enda's brewing skills, and Sam's food and beverage insights, they crafted Fuku Brew. This Japanese-style lager blends the best of both worlds: the crispness of Japanese rice brewing and flavours that complement Italian cuisine.
